Only Hours Now

It's 3:05am in Indiana and I'll be on my way to O'Hare in the next two hours. I'm still very tired and only got about 3-4 hours of sleep last night. I guess that's typical though. The adrenaline is starting to kick in and I expect it to power me until Friday evening when I arrive in Tokyo.

All my things are packed for both storage and for my trip. On Tuesday afternoon I was able to completely move out of my apartment where I have been living for the past year. Goodbye good ol' Greenwich Street! My car is in being stored at a friend's house so now it's just me and my two carry-on's. It's a freeing feeling to know that I've succeeded in packing so light. I'm actually a bit surprised myself with how well I packed.

I think I might catch a couple more winks. There's still two hours left before I leave for the airport.

Hi, Derik
It's a bit sad that we're all going to move out of the house on Greenwich Street...I cherish the time we spent together doing grocery shopping and cooking Chinese dishes together...
I feel so sorry that I missed your call early this morning. Thank you so much for remembering me as one of your good friends.
I hope you have a wonderful time traveling in Asia. I'll try to call you when you are there.

Leave it to Derik to travel the globe with just two carry-ons. You never cease to amaze me! I like the new look of your blog. Nice photo too!
