Atsuko

It's already late in the day, but I had to add one more bit before lights out. I had this crazy opportunity of meeting one of my Dad's classmates from many years ago (let's just say it was before there was me). Atsuko and my dad studied German and were in some of the same classes in Germany. After graduating, they kept in contact and I would often see a letter or two from Japan sitting in our mailbox once a year. Crazy as it is, I was able to meet up with Atsuko and her family this evening in Yokohama. They took me out to a fancy Japanese restaurant and I had the best meal since the last time I ate at my mom's; it was five star let me tell you!

Now I'm hanging out at Atsuko's nephew and niece's house. They are so kind and accommodating! Thanks Asako and Akio! I'll be back for another visit for sure.

Tomorrow I'm off for South Korea to visit Seoul and hang out with my cousin David. Sayonara!
