The temperature in Hangzhou today was a muggy 100 degrees. Hot! Only because my stomach started to growl did I muster up the courage to wander into the heat a couple of times. The heat just seemed to consume me and make me all the more thankful for air conditioning.
Recently in Chinese class, we have been talking a bit about the Chinese Lunar Calendar. According to the calendar, the Chinese year is divided into twenty-four 15 day periods and signify orbit positions around the sun. Each of the periods is named. Incidentally, yesterday began the "The Big Heat," and aptly so. The next couple of days are going to be the hottest of the year.
I think I'll be doing most of my studying inside for the next couple of days.
