May 4th Square

Today after I got off work at 6pm I went out to dinner with the family I am staying with. They are so accommodating and make me feel just like I am at home. We had jiaozi, one of my favorite dishes here in China. Afterwards, we walked to May 4th Square. May 4th Square is a park/square that butts up to the bay. At the center of the park there is a artistic structure called the "May Wind." In the evening, the structure is lit up like a giant Christmas light and the square is a buzz with crowds and vendors hawking wares to tourists. If you look in the picture, you can see the "May Wind" structure in the distant background. I really liked this position in the park because it had the "One World One Dream" Olympic slogan that is smattered on nearly every building, cab, and t-shirt here in China.
