The Middle Kingdom

My how things can change so rapidly!

Only a month ago, I was sitting through four hours of lectures a day, cramming umpteen hours of homework into six, and commuting a total of ten hours a week to and from campus. The drive north began an exhausting day of work, but the drive south allowed a few hours of relaxation over a bite of my mother's excellent cooking. This rhythm persisted for what seemed like a very long time.

Then came graduation. After withstanding the final weeks before commencement, I walked through the ceremony at Carver and with a sigh of relief received my diploma cover from the kind gentleman on the podium. Although the graduation ceremony was quaint, it did not do justice to reward the many hours of toil spent in Wilson. I have yet to receive my diploma via snail mail. Does anyone know how long it takes?

And what does all of this have to do with the Middle Kingdom? Well, I sit writing this note in a city not too far from the China Sea, whose country's population is the largest in the world. Ironically, my daily routine actually resembles a bit of the above, lots of class and studying. But it's different.

If you have questions for me, please post and I will try to elucidate to the best of my ability. Hope to hear from you soon.

Well now, it seems nobody has commented on anything yet, but I am proud to be the first. It seems like you are having a grand time in China, and I look forward to hearing some of the stories upon your return. Have a great time!
