I'm in the state of Michigen and the clock is blaring 4:52am Eastern Standard Time. I convinced everyone to leave the house by 5:15, but chances of that are getting slimmer as the minutes roll by.
We're three hours into a long haul up to Canadian Montreal, where French is the dominant lingua franca. Today we aim to conquer eleven hours of driving, with minimal potty breaks, in a blue four door Honda Civic. We'll pass the cities of Detroit, Winsor, London, and Toronto.
I'll keep you posted whether or not we kill each other along the way. Even with friends, you never know what can happen in close confines.

Speaking of college, those are the same roads/border I took many times from Grand Rapids to Opa's sister near Toronto. Enjoy this trip for me. T Anja
