Tianjin

Now I'm in a new city. I figured since I could not get return tickets to Qingdao until Sunday, I may as well take advantage of this opportunity to see another city. I actually have a funny story to share. At the Tianjin train station, I immediately got a local map (the 60 cent Chinese version, not the $2.25 English version.) I spent a good half hour pouring over it and I finally figured out which bus I needed to take. However, I wasn't sure where the bus stop was so I started asking people. I love the responses I got because the people I asked (watch out!) were taxi drivers. There were all like... "um, nope. There's no number 5 bus and no bus nearby." Haha, are you kidding me! This is China; there are always bus stops at train stations. Anyway, I found my bus for 30 cents and now I'm enjoying downtown Tianjin. It's a beautiful town if you ever get the chance to go. Just don't ask for directions from the cab drivers!
