Mapo Village

I'm here sitting in this village outside of Beijing watching a concert on TV with a friend. The concert is a compilation of a bunch of famous artists in China perform for the Olympics. It's really interesting to notice the differences in US concerts and what I'm seeing right now. The concert is a big show with fireworks, dancers, lights, and tons of smoke. No instruments are on stage; it is all background tracks. America is all over bands. I wonder when China will be at that stage in pop music.
